The Perfect Getaway-Willow July/Aug 2026 From the moment we arrived at the allocated parking space, after following the very clear instructions, we were impressed with Willow. Immaculate private garden, spotlessly clean inside, with everything you would need. We were glad we had booked a week's stay. The Shepherd's Hut is beautiful inside, even down to the fixture and fittings matching. Large bed with space to store luggage underneath, very modern bathroom with a good amount of shelving and a small but functional kitchen with seating area. It was good to see that recycling was key, including food waste. Outside did not disappoint. The large wooden building opposite the shepherd's hut was home to a corner seating area with table (which is dry when it rains), prep area, pizza oven, sink and plenty of cupboards for extra storage. The jacuzzi was often used and was welcome when the evenings turned chilly. Table and chairs for outside dining and lounger chairs were also available. We would recommend a visit to the Ley Arms, literally 5mins walk away (a torch may be needed for the return trip), the Greendale Farm Shop where we got all our food & supplies (it is huge) and the Kenton Park Estate where we had a wonderful afternoon tour with cheese & wine (although it was an enormous platter of lots of local produce). The glamping units are well spaced out, so it is very private and peaceful. It is so relaxing the most you will hear are the birds, sheep and the farmer trying to round them up. We will certainly return to recharge the batteries. Thank you, Elly and Mandy, for creating such a wonderful place. Jack RiachTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. A beautiful place to stay, very quiet and private, with a little stream alongside. The shepherd's hut we stayed in, Cherry Blossom, had everything we needed, as well as a hot tub and a hammock. We spend 3 lovely nights here and would recommend to anyone. Terry WardTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our first time here and won’t be our last, we stayed in Cherry Blossom which had everything we needed for our three night stay. The perfect location to unwind, with a beautiful river to sit beside and read or just chill out. Every evening was spent in the hot tub with a glass of something nice. Another great bonus was the pub which is round the corner, a proper traditional looking pub with good food and drinks and very welcoming staff. Thankyou to Elly & Mandy. Another great stay, this time in The Hideaway very peaceful and relaxing. Everything you need on hand, would definitely return. Including great weather ☀️☀️ Paul FranklinTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We stayed in 'Willow' mid July26 for the weekend. The Shepards hut was immaculately presented and because of the great communication with the owner it was easy to find. In fact we were provided with all the information on eating and sightseeing that anyone could ever need. We took advantage of the breakfast hamper which was delivered intime for our arrival. It was all local produce and ample for 2 people. The hut had an outside shower, hot tub, fire pit for bbq and an outside kitchen with pizza oven. We did have plans to do loads of sightseeing but the accommodation was so perfect we didnt bother! The location was idyllic, quiet and private. We had an amazingly relaxed time and would book again, thoroughly recommended. MelanieTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Amazing cabins at the Hideaway brilliant accommodation with the extra cinema room cabin with sauna. Hot tub & cold plunge bath. In a beautiful countryside location but close enough to Exeter the coast and beyond for activities. Lovely sunsets too.
