About the property

Charming shepherd’s hut for two near Exeter with hot tub, underfloor heating, WiFi and a cosy log burner. Apple is pet friendly for 2 small or one medium dog.

This marvellous property is private, quiet, beautifully equipped, and spacious. Set within an idyllic countryside location just minutes away from the historic city of Exeter, this gorgeous hut is a charming Devon retreat for two. With all the amenities and extras you’d expect from a luxury boutique hotel (and more), this truly is glamping at its best.

Stay toasty thanks to the hut’s underfloor heating and prepare meals in the nicely equipped kitchen with an electric hob, Belfast sink and breakfast bar.

When bedtime beckons the super-comfy double bed is complete with a deep mattress and guarantees a great night’s sleep. The modern shower room is complete with a heated towel rail for added luxury.

Back in the main living space, throw some logs on the wood-burning stove and get cosy in front of the TV that comes with a built-in DVD player. There’s also WiFi throughout the hut should you need to catch up on some emails.

You’re bound to love the setting, too. Tucked away in the meadow of a South Devon farm, the surrounding landscape is lush, picturesque and tranquil – and if that weren’t idyllic enough, the hut overlooks the river Kenn as it meanders its way along the bottom of the garden.

If you’re looking for a spot to enjoy the views and fresh air, a private patio with outdoor dining and bubbling hot tub is just the place, while the addition of a charcoal BBQ (which doubles as a firepit) means you’ll be able to relax in the sunshine while keeping an eye on lunch as it sizzles away.

There are terrific walks in the area as well as the lovely 13th Century Ley Arms pub where you can wine and dine your afternoons away however, Apple Blossom is also within striking distance of the South Hams with its long sandy beaches, tree-lined rivers, and of course towns like Totnes and Dartmouth just waiting to be explored.

Within a 15-minute driving radius you can access the coast at Dawlish Warren or Teignmouth or hike the rugged tors and landscape of Dartmoor national park, or for something slightly more cosmopolitan, you can pop into Exeter for a dose of retail therapy and culture, and visit the charming town of Topsham (just 20 minute drive away) to browse independent boutiques, take afternoon tea and relish walks along the River Exe.

Dog Notice – please be aware there are steps into the hut which may not be suitable for all dogs please do not hesitate to contact if you have any questions.
