Loved everything about our stay. Apple Blossom was perfect, from the shepherds hut to the location. The hot tub and hammocks make the outdoor area which is private. Ideal for total relaxation and being able to switch off. We stayed three nights and wished we could have stayed an extra night. Mandy the owner is so welcoming & friendly. Would love to return. Amazing place to stay, also many the owner is more than helpful and kind!
Can not fault this place, normally with a self catering break you have to take everything, however tea, sugar, tea towels, loo roll, cleaning products all provide, as where some complimentary bakery goods, this is a very nice touch. The attention to a peaceful private break is very well thought of, we always rate a place on saying " would we return ?" within 5 mins we were saying " we will have to come back"!
Very clean and nice shepherd's hut with more space than expected. The hot tub was awesome, clean, and private. Overall two very relaxing nights even though it was windy and rained most of the time. It was warm inside without the wood burner due to floor heating. The host was very friendly and the complementary bread was tasty
Idyllic setting and perfect for some serious relaxation, these shepherd huts are ideally situated and beautifully kitted out. We stayed in Cherry Blossom, which is the one at the very end: with views over a field and the river Kenn, it is perfectly placed for privacy. The huts sleep 2 and have hot tubs and barbecues outside. Deckchairs, other outside seating and all towels are provided; complimentary bread and eggs are also there on arrival. Inside, there is a kitchen with a double hob and fridge; for the winter months, a wood burner can be used. At the end of the hut is a bathroom with toilet and shower. In our hut, the bed was an ingenious pull down affair that fitted on top of the folding table. The bed itself was very comfortable, encouraging leisurely lie-ins! All the finishes were superb, giving the place a luxurious rustic charm. The huts are close to Exeter, so could be used as a base for visits to a number of local attractions: Powderham Castle is also nearby. Alternatively, they are perfect for a long weekend just getting away from it all.
