We are Mandy and Elly ( Mother and Daughter) and we are lucky enough to share our beautiful farm in Devon just on the outskirts of Exeter with you. Mandy’s Grandfather bought our farm from the Church just after the war both her grandfather and father made a living milking cows, grazing sheep and providing eggs and milk for the village. Times have changed and although Mandy initially farmed the land when she took it on, it was no longer viable, and she had to start looking for other ways to use the farm. Life has evolved somewhat, we now run the holiday lets in this stunning part of Devon between us both, which we must say has become our passion – always looking for ways to make it better and more luxurious. We also have a Bakery on the farm producing lots of fabulous breads and goodies run by Mandy’s partner Shaun – don’t worry we always give our guests some to sample. The farm is now mostly sheep looked after by our fantastic local farmer, with a menagerie of horses, peacocks, chickens, guinea fowl and our 2 dogs – all in all, there is never a dull moment!
We are proud that Devon Heaven Hideaways provides the perfect escape for couples be it for a celebration or a relaxing break.
Surrounded by rolling fields and peaceful countryside, they are a true haven of tranquillity. The setting on the outskirts of Exeter just off the M5 allows you to truly relax and explore your sense of adventure. These wonderful meadows immerse you in nature surrounded by blooming trees, wildlife and the melodic tones of bird song, all from your hot tub or luxurious accommodation.
The surprisingly spacious properties are fully furnished and equipped for two, providing a blissful self catered holiday.
Your comfort is our top priority. A traditional log burner warms throughout the open plan kitchen/living/diner, ensure you stay cosy during your stay. Hot tubs guarantee you can unwind in the beautiful surroundings.
Cotton sheets, and wonderfully comfortable beds help you enjoy a perfect night’s sleep. Locally sourced teas and coffee provided, along with bread and cakes from our own bakery. We welcome up to two well small behaved dogs (except the Airstream) and supply blankets, welcome treats and towels for their comfort.
We hope to see you soon,
Mandy and Elly
“Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer’s day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time.”
